This semester, the BA Dance students at the HfMDK Frankfurt have been researching and creating with world-renowned artists to explore themes such as new balance, risk and togetherness. They will present the results at the Winter Dance Project: three evenings characterized by the energy of this next generation of young artists who are breaking new ground in the art form of dance with courage and sensitivity.

The program includes three world premieres: Created by and with the artist and choreographer Kristel van Issum, the director and choreographer Nicole Beutler and the new professor and head of the dance department Damian Gmür. In addition, Alan Barnes has restaged and reworked material and concepts from workwithinwork, choreographed by Honorary Professor William Forsythe. The evening's music ranges from Maurice Ravel and Luciano Berio to new compositions by Fabian Schulz and Gary Shepard.

An event with students from the HfMDK's BA Dance course under the direction of Damian Gmür with the support of the Hessian Theater Academy.

The three performances on February 9, 10 and 11, 2024 will each take place at 8 pm at the Gallus Theater. The long-standing collaboration between the Gallus Theater and the BAdance department of the HfMDK is now in its 23rd edition.
